Pro scooter role models to inspire young riders
Mathew Haines is the proud father of Kai, aka, Krazy Kai, the 4-year-old pro scootering prodigy.
As well as being a pro scootering dad, Matt is a fitness enthusiast, combat veteran, and husband. While in the military as a medic he took multiple fitness courses and became certified as a strength and conditioning specialist with a focus on sports, little did he know how much this expertise would help him with Kai’s journey as a young athlete!
Matt has been supporting Kai with his scootering since he got his first Micro Mini at the tender age of 2. Kai soon progressed on to custom modified pro scooters and is driving towards a career as one of the youngest pro riders in the world. Matt recently became the owner of a tattoo shop in Bradenton Florida called Sacred Arts Tattoo, which allows him to spend plenty of time with Kai at home, the skatepark, competitions, and more!
There are few dads with more experience of kids’ scooters and the safety gear needed for children to ride safely. We’re glad to have Matt join the We The Parents editorial team as our resident scooter guru!
